Acupuncture is the insertion of very fine needles into acupuncture points on the body. This stimulates the nervous system, causes the body to release endorphins, and stimulates healing.
Our bodies have different pathways, also known as meridians or channels, these channels allow Qi (which is like energy) to flow. When Qi is flowing freely, we are healthy and happy. When the channels become blocked illness, pain, or emotional issues can occur.
Acupuncture helps by releasing the blockages in the channels allowing Qi to flow freely once again, bringing our body back into balance.
